Based on our highly popular Matt Garrison Signature Model NAMM Bass #5 is built with the soloing player in mind. With its narrower 17.5mm string spacing, 33in scale, and E to high C tuning this is the ideal bass players that not only need to hold the groove, but also work with chording and soling. The light Buckeye Burl top has all of the intense figuring Fodera basses are known for but with its subtle tan to brown contrast also exudes a level of quiet refinement. The Ebony fingerboard contributes precise high-end response while the Ash neck and body combination provides an aggressive bark rounded out by a subtle touch of warmth from the Alder tone block creating a high degree of tonal balance. The Seymour Duncan Dual coil pickups and Fodera / Pope Custom Shop Preamp add further to this instrument’s tonal flexibility making this bass a perfect fit for any gig.
